Beautiful piece. It works on so many levels. It draws you in. As you walk, float, fly or swim. It’s all there. Poetry in form.

Is a tree that is based on the balance of mass, shape, proportion with the height, width and flare: all interesting elements in this watercolor that shows the sides, some labeled as a “memory” just stopped raining.
If I “read” a tree, I see the lights and shadows clearly marked, in order to make the offer that fullness and symmetry as the alternation of past, future, all that was and all that is.
That feeling of depth given by the first impact, (as we knew the Impressionists often exploited these stylistic device of this in their works) enclosed in a sky that embraces our whole world: the tree and its reflection.
All wrapped up in those old tastes and past, who are there – waiting – the power and magic of enchantment … after the rain.

Of course I do! Who doesn’t! It didn’t sound cold at all! On the contrary it was very kind and generous! It was more or less a joke! Round here “established” is an artist over 80yrs old who’s work is shown in places like the MOMA, and reaches sky-high prices! Thank you again and I wish you all the best on your -already prosperous- blogging life!

Surrey is a very dull place but if you look carefully you find complex beauty in it – however if you look for it, you can find that anywhere:)
Middlesex Poly [now University] in the good old days [early 90’s!] I stayed at Trent Park, Notting Hill Gate and Southgate. I agree about finding beauty anywhere.
Oh I was looking at Middlesex; they had a great exhibition there on interior design which I saw. I’m not really anywhere near but it was on when I looked at the Uni.

I’m lovin’ this series. But then, as you already know, I love “mirrorscapes”. 🙂 And trees are a prefect example as their root structure underground often mirrors their branch structure above ground. Another beautiful image.
