You, dear Marina, are an epitome of inspiration! totally love this composition – it’s a ballad. X
Ah thank you so much Shaheen, you are too kind!
Beautiful, Marina. This is so peaceful. I love how you use color temperature, warm and cool.
Thank you Patricia!
…trying to bring them to harmony, haha!
😆
Nice work Marina. Love the series. I am working on setting up a painting studio. So your work is inspiring.
Painting studio! That’s great news Walter! Thank you so much for your kind words.
Lovely, and so soft and pleasing to the eyes! Sometimes who we really are on the inside (or who we want to be) is not who we are on the outside.
I like how you magnify parts of your artwork showing us the detail in your talented brush strokes. It amazes me!
You are TOO kind FM! Thank you so much! I think it’s just a matter of realizing that we’re consisted of a multitude of things some of which we’ll never discover so maybe we should stop trying to find tags to describe us… Just a thought.
Always enjoy seeing nature take centre stage in your work, Marina!
Thank you, Anne!
🙂
As I said to Ann, it is where I long to be…
Lovely as usual, I like that your paintings are inspired by Nature!
Thank you, Ann. It’s where I want to be…
It looks to me like the water has transformed them from deciduous trees to coniferous trees. This opens up a whole world of wierdness to consider: does this represent transformation, that the water gives or prolongs life? I mean if they have been transformed by the water to coniferous trees then they won’t lose their leaves in autumn.
I’m just making noise now aren’t I? I think I’ll stick to widdling on trees rather than thinking too deeply about them.
Love the painting : )
Ah, Bones, I love your wise thoughts! They may also seem to us deciduous but in reality be coniferous, OR they could be coniferous trees and don’t know it yet! OR… they may be both! Thank you so much dear Bones!
ooh, now I’m getting confused……
😉
Lovely reflections! Love the subtle difference in shades.
Thank you Madhu!!!
🙂
Interesting. Is this how the trees think of themselves, as opposed to how they really are? 🙂
…we will never know, will we?!!!!
😉
More and more I seem to be reading the “as above so below” series as psychological metaphor. This one especially. 🙂
😯
!!!
…my smiley reply was meant as a joke!
Sorry, didn’t mean to offend. I meant that as a compliment…
…and by BTW [on multiple readings] look at the answer I gave poor Bones… I totally confused him! [and didn’t mean to!].
…that your paintings work on multiple levels. That’s what I was trying to say.
Why should I be offended?!!!!! That’s what I thought you meant in the first place and THANK YOU, I think that’s wonderful!!!! Sorry for the long wait to answer this [just got in!]. I always appreciate your comments, Charlie and hope you continue doing so [well, whenever you like to, that is!]
I really like the subtle feeling of theses watercolours. And the restricted use of colours, too. Beautiful. My favourite is the first one, maybe a little less abstract than the others, but I feel the composition is very balanced and serene.
Thank you so much, Otto for your kind words. I like restricting myself in mediums [colours etc]… I feel it makes me work better. I’m very glad you like it.
Beautiful! I have no idea why, but this makes me think of very late summer, or early fall.
I think it is too! When you’re in the mid of a very hot summer, the brain creates “cooling” images! Thank you Sandy.
Another wonderful one. Always a pleasure. You wouldn’t think the detail close-ups would be so good, but they are too. A fractal analysis might apply: beauty and harmony of color and pattern repeating at a certain exponential rate….Anyway it’s a great watercolor.
I love your fractal analysis! Thank you so much Stephen!
Oh so sedate and dignified – its lovely! Thanks Marina.
Ah, thank YOU Dilip for your beautiful comment!
Love the trees and the reflection, you did that beautifully. It’s looks great on your products too, Marina! 🙂
Thank you, Deb! I’m glad you like them!
😆
Thanks!
The trees still have leaves, it is still summer 🙂
…hot and dry!
Thank YOU!
🙂
I hope not TOO hot and try as that is not good for trees
I know! We’re on a third or fourth heat wave now and it’s not nice. At least [for the trees] it’s not windy which is common in August [the worst combination for fires!].
Yes, I hope there will be no more fires!
On a tank top ………

Yes – can you imagine layering like 3 of your tank tops – with you art on them – that would be soooooo cool 🙂 xx
You are a gifted watercolor artist…
Ah, you are so kind Lindy! I’m very very flattered!
Love the contrast of the periwinkle color in the sky and the
turquoise down below. Very nice …!!!!
Thank you Isadora!
🙂
It seemed to me that they complement each other…
I love reflections–this is beautiful!
Thank you, Arnel! I’m so glad you like it.
