*info about Chakras from Wikipedia:

Chakras, in some Hinduist traditions and other belief systems, are centers of Prāṇa, life force, or vital energy. Chakras correspond to vital points in the physical body i.e. major plexuses of arteries, veins and nerves.
David Gordon White traces the modern popularity of the seven chakra system to Arthur Avalon’s The Serpent Power, which was Avalon’s translation of a late work, the Satcakranirupana.
Sahasrara: The Crown Chakra
Ajna: The Brow Chakra
Vishuddha: The Throat Chakra
Anahata: The Heart Chakra
Manipura: The Solar Plexus Chakra
Swadhisthana: The Sacral Chakra
Muladhara: The Root Chakra

  1. I just discovered your art page–and I just love this! What a wonderful idea. And your paintings are beautiful–I could just get lost in their openness to Spirit, and your brush strokes. God bless you, Marina!

  2. A true and naked honestly realm of the self – this takes courage to just BE – something I learnt in Vipassana awhile ago. The series here has a rebirth of the immense manifestations — incredible colours, vibrant thoughts, loose ends that are at times against all odds — each composition has a life breathing to me – I more than love it ! Yes, I am familiar with chakras as been doing yoga and meditation for some time now — also I have been practicing the energy of jemal, jelal, zaval — these are extended sufic pratice for breathing through rectangular breaths – ah, shall just write to you later about it!
Tres bien ma cherie !! xxxx

  3. Wooo! Loving the bleeds of color that blend in so nicely, and your chakra tree! What a lovely way to start the new year, artistry I will remember in my heart 😀

  4. You are such a special artist, Marina. You are BEAUTIFUL with your work.
How do you make such colour – do you actually mix it yourself? Sorry – I’m sure you do, but it’s awesome, beautiful and awesome.

    • Oh, don’t apologize! Yes I do mix them, but not always. Sometimes I use them as they come and let the water do the mixing! Thank you for YOUR beautiful words, dear!
      🙂

    • Grazie di cuore from me too Claudine.
Thank you very very much for your kind compliments! [I do not know Italian but because many words are very similar to english and french I understood most of it]
I’m very flattered you’d like a print [if I understood right!]
      Grazie cara mia!!!!
      🙂

  5. Oh! Marina!! I am just stunned!! I LOVE it so much!!! Every night I envision all of our chakras exactly like this, clean and clear and balanced and full of light! BRAVO! ~xoxo! 🙂

  6. hi Marina, your chakra tree painting, the first on this site, looks a little like a new map featuring Spain, trying to reach more distance to France – maybe a good Tee shirt for the separatists there!

  7. I like the crown shakra the best. It wonderfully conveys the concept of opening oneself up to the heavens. ŌŌM! (Meditative chant 🙂

    • Χρόνια Πολλά για τον Γιάννη [θα τα πούμε τηλεφωνικά το απόγευμα]
