I’ve spent the last 2 weeks camping in my backyard. I stay up all night gazing at the moon. I used my Junior Astronomer kit and a telescope I bought at the dollar store to study the moon.
Conclusions: your painting is more compelling than the real moon, the colors are more vibrant, your moon hints at unknown worlds and possibilities, whereas the real moon only hints of green cheese.
Oh yes, one other conclusion: I have to bring more hot water bottles with me the next time I do meteorological research… : )
