Autumn Restart

I can’t believe I just typed ‘Autumn’, however, it is just round the corner. Summer vacations are over [at least for some] and work [whatever that may be] is summoning us back! Time to start fresh.
The eclipses are long gone and hopefully their aftermath too [that includes Harvey:  sending my prayers to all affected by his wrath] and Mercury will soon move direct.
About this month:

September Moon: Our Moon will be Full on the 6th and New Moon on the 20th.

September 22nd is the Fall Equinox*. Officially First day of Autumn. Equal Day & Night [almost]

*Equinoxes are opposite on either side of the equator, so the fall equinox in the Northern Hemisphere is the spring equinox in the Southern Hemisphere and vice versa.

September Birthstone is Sapphire, Agate, Moonstone, Lapis Lazuli, Diamond & Chrysolite.

September Flower: AsterForget-me-not & Morning Glory

September Colors: Deep Blue & Brown

Fruits and Veggies of September: Fruits Grapes, Figs, Pears, Apples and [just about] Watermelons and Prunes. Veggies Cayenne Pepper, Tomatillos, Courgettes, Cucumbers, Pumpkin, Carrots,  Chili Peppers, Poblano Peppers, Serrano Pepper, Jalapeno Pepper  [we may as well call it the pepper month!]

September astrological signs: Virgo & Libra

September number in numerology this year is 1

  1. Oh– oh– oh!! My eyes are drawn to the pulsating vortex! They flash like sapphires as they watch the luminous paint strokes going round and round, swirling faster and faster, pulling me into an ancient and primordial world of color, verve, magnetism, passion, and blissful bewilderment!!

The scent of aster, forget-me-not, and morning glory fill the air. I see flashes of lapis lazuli, filling my senses with liquid fire!! I’m a captive to this intoxicating art, drawn ever deeper into this wondrous maelstrom!! Do I ever want it to end?? Nine, nine!! I mean, 9, 9!! I mean, Nein, nein!! There, sorry, my German’s a little rusty. Beautiful work, my dear Marina!! 🏆🏆🏆🎩🎩🎩🎯🎯🎯🍨🍨🍨😊

    • Bewildered by your response, I’ll be floating on cloud nine for a while! Nein, my friend, it is I who can’t stop reading again and again your ever so flattering words! Danke schön! Hic hic 🍷🍾🍸🍹🍾🍹🍸🍨🍷🍸🍨🍷🍾🍸🍹🍾🍹🍸🍨🍷🍸🍨🍷

    • 🙂 Morning glory is a summer / fall flower. They love the sun and September is still sunny so one may see them around. Prunes! Yes, well, my mistake! You see over here prunes and plums have the same name so I used the first one that came to mind. Of course prunes are dried plums so what I meant is plums. I’ll go correct this – thank you!!! Hope all is well – was watching Irma’s path…

  2. When I was teaching high school September was always ‘butterflies in the stomach’ month, returning to the classroom and all that entailed. Since retiring I’m almost over that now but 9 remains my most challenging number. Partly maybe because it’s the reverse of my magic life number 6 – like a reverse Tarot card reading…and it happens that I feel this in your painting. Marina, I trust that, as an artist you understand that I am able to appreciate and enjoy your paintings but at the same time experience feelings through them that are other than happiness. The colours, the black, whites and grays and the jagged edges of the 9 all trigger something in me that I find enormously difficult to face. This is another part of my personal journey that to say the least I find interesting. Thank you for opening that door for me again so beautifully Marina and thank you again for Kari who makes it all so understandable and inspiring. Leaves are already falling on my garden.

    • My dear John, yes, I understand exactly! I’ve given up years ago trying to put to words or explain what I do. I just let it be and once in a while someone opens their heart’s eyes and lets it in. Happy or not the emotions, this can only lead to a …happy day. So it is I who thank YOU, for opening that door. Thank you, my dear dear friend.
Enjoy the miracle of color transitions of autumn.

    • I agree! Some people returning from holidays even wish “Happy Winter” over here and it’s still 34ºC outside! Happy beautiful September, my dearest Gilly. Happy Summer – Autumn transitions! 🙂 xx

  3. Fascinating work as always.

9 denotes salvation in Hindu astrology. This month includes the 15 days devoted to our ancestors and is followed by nine days devoted to the Divine Mother.

    • Ah, thank you for that information YS and your kind words! I think also the ninth Navagraha is Ketu. 9 has always been very special to me. Have a joyful ninth month, my friend! 🙂

  4. My Sapphire Queen, yes, it is almost autumn! I’m projecting a fab one.
I’m with you on Harvey, and I send best vibrations and hope to all. Good to know Canada will be sending certain much needed supplies … baby diapers, blankets, formula and more.
My dear, you should offer your calendar again, for 2018! I’m sure Mag Cloud could take care of that quite easily!
Much love to you, and yours! xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

    • ALMOST as you say autumn! My favorite season – an amazing explosion of colors just before they fade to white.
People in the US are going through very hard times [Harvey – devastating fires…] – I keep sending my thoughts and wishes.
I’m making my ‘Journey of Numbers’ calendar for 2018 at the moment but I’ll add one more! [surprise!]
much love, my sweet friend and happy autumn creations! 🙂 xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

  5. Hey! Those colors on the nine are just right. I’m a few days away from the September Magazine. Still feels like summer (hot!) in LA. Happy September, full of grace to the nines!

    • oh oh… and I’m a few days late replying!!!! 😉 Ah, thank you!! Still summer here too! I’ll hop over soon to read your September Magazine! Happy ninth, my friend! 🙂

Happy to hear your thoughts
