Wishing everyone a lovely Wednesday and for those of us who celebrate the return of NORMAL time… there are only a few more D.S.T. days left!!!! On Sunday we gain back our lost hour! [for more on this, check here: D.S.T. and here: D.S.T. Gone!  and here: D.S.T. Gone Tonight! …yes, I’ve got an issue with this shift of time, so I always like to celebrate the return of our stolen hour!]

  1. This is a superb interpretation of Yo-Yo Ma, a fantastic Kabalevsky
Cello Concerto (i do especially love the Sol minor, pieces for cello… wish Massimo one day will be able to play such pieces). Have a lovely raining Sunday :-)love dear Marina, claudine

  2. A week late, but still a Wednesday … and perfect timing because today is gloomy with a light rain …. and as I listen to the music, it’s a wonderful match.

  3. Beautiful photos, Marina, and I love the rain, but we’re still having summer days here. CA needs the rain though, especially after the fires. Hopefully soon Autumn will feel more like autumn. 🙂 Love and hugs, my friend 💗💦

    • I hope our clouds flew over to bring you a few drops of rain too! It’s getting colder here so I can say we’re well into Autumn heading towards Winter. Much love to you and hugs! + xxxxxxx 😘🤗😘🤗😘🤗 Oh, and Happy November [where’s 2017 gone?] 😘

      • It’s finally cooling off here, too, Marina, and we’re getting rain this weekend. Yay! 😊😍😎😘 Happy November to you, as well, and sending lots of love and a zillion hugs your way! 🎈🎉💕💝

  4. I loved this post my dear friend. I love the rain. Thanks for turning me onto some great music – never heard of this composer before. A perfect accompaniment to a rainy day. And DST – don’t even get me started….. let it suffice to say that like you, I also have issues with DST – especially since they extended it a few years ago….. but enough of a hissy-fit or tiff-and-a-huff about that. It’s the weekend; a time of happiness, peace and an opportunity to get away from the stresses of the week. Enjoy your weekend. 🙂

    • I’m so glad I introduced you to Kabalevsky. Just returned from a mini visit to the countryside and I was happy to be greeted with rain here too! 😉 Today’s the big day. We’re finally getting rid of D.S.T.! 👍 Enjoy and hope you’re having a peaceful and relaxing weekend. 🙂

  5. Wow! It looks like it rained a lot on Mt. Olympus. In fact, Mt. Olympus is underwater! I hope you were able to pack all your paints into a spaceship, and temporarily relocate your studio to the moon… 🎨=>🚀=>🌖👽👽👽👽

I like to run outside when it rains and sing “Raindrops Keep Fallin’ On My Head.” Sometimes I sing the same song when the sun is shining. I like to keep people guessing… 💦😊🌞😊🚿

    • Better to have them guessing, isn’t it? I do the same!!!!!!! Seems like we both fell into the Magic Potion like Obelix when we were young, huh?!!!! 😉 Then again, it could be the rain talking! ☔︎☁︎ 🙂 🙂 🙂

  6. We recently had a lot of rain ~ Like I didn’t think it would stop! Then yesterday came bright blue skies. Today was a bit darker. Ah, autumn! As for the changing of the clocks, looking forward to gaining an hour ❤

    • Autumn transitions, yes! Been raining now for 3 days and the sun plays hard to get but after a long dry season, this is very welcome! I love the blue skies after rain. So vibrant and the clouds are usually pretty spectacular. Cheers to the the hour’s return! 😉 xxxxxxxxxxoxoxoxoxox

  7. An hour gained,
    An hour lost, and
    An animal gone, forever. So
    Man in charge is
    Focused on his lust, for
    What works better
    Better for the wallet’s clock
    leaves the rest behind in
    The leaves of Autumn and
    The blossoms of spring.

Yo Yo Ma music was brilliant.
    Love you much 😀 xoxoxooooxxxxxooooo

  8. You and I are on opposite sides of the hour Marina but am happy to give it back until Spring – like Persephone! Happy rainy days to you

    • Awww, how gracious, Laura! Thank you! At least now I’ll be less unhappy in Spring when we change back, as I’ll be giving the hour to you [like Persephone]! 😉 Happy Autumn! 🙂

  9. Lovely music and yes we gain a hour.. The rain has visited us many times already, but in between we had some sunshine too. Have a wonderful autumn, dear Marina xoxo

    • We had a rather warm and dry October, so this was very welcome. Glad you enjoyed the music, my dearest Francina. A wonderful Autumn to you too and cheers to the hour’s come-back! 😉
      groetjes
      xxxxxxxx

    • My dearest Colleen, as an artist I know you appreciate this even more. Nature is breathtaking, whatever her moods, but rain has something special. A sweet melancholy maybe, just like this cello concerto. A beautiful Autumn to you too! xxxxx

    • That’s understandable. I’m a big fan of Autumn and eventhough we had early signs, it changed mood and October was mainly warm and humid, so this rain was a blessing! Glad you enjoyed the music, Peter. 🙂

    • Thank you, my dear Tish. Yes, September and October rains are essential for olive trees and October was dry this year, so this was a blessing, but you knew that from your trip here!!!! 😉 xx

  10. Yo Yo Ma’s cello concerto No. 12/3… is like listening to the rain on a grey Fall day, at once sad and at once beautiful, but most of all magnificent to hear. Even on a sunny day, one is left wanting to hear his rain.
    Thank you for this Marina!

    • I don’t know Pam, I really don’t know. I try hard every year but… 😉
Maybe we could ignore it and never change our clocks! Call it R.T. [Right Time – the ‘Right Time’ movement] and see who follows! 😉 xxxx
