butterfly and the sea…

It’s nice to be able to go on vacation, whatever that translates to. However, for many people, and various reasons, they’re bound to the city, during summer’s hot days… like this weekend. To me, that is a blessing as I discover beautiful images in my city paths.
Today, while walking on a hill I go to often [Filothei Hill], I noticed more butterflies, more beautiful bushes, flowers and views. One of the butterflies I came across, I’m sure even posed for me, as my phone almost touched her wings! Yesterday, we visited a nearby place by the sea [Daskalio/Attica] – my first visit to the sea this year!
Anyway, here’s a short collection from this weekend’s paths…
…and as we were leaving, the moon winked while rising from a pole!
Weekend is almost over and while a new week is eminent with a tight working schedule, it was nice looking back at those images and remembering a million more
….while this was in my ears again …and again… and again

Steve Hackett “Shadow of the Hierophant” from the album “Voyage Of The Acolyte” [there’s also a brilliant live version here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3bmuEbHPL6k ]

Here’s to a lovely week ahead and don’t forget the 21st …Summer Solstice!

  1. All of have an oasis near us – and probably multiple – yet we visit them too infrequently. Cheers to you for taking advantage of your opportunity. Thanks for the wonderful music!

  2. Beautiful, Marina. I took a little mental vacation just looking at your beautiful photos. Hope you have a lovely week. Busy, but wonderful!

    • Ah, what a lovely thing to say! I know what you mean though, I also use these city paths as ‘mental vacation’! 😉 You too have a beautiful week! 🙂 xoxoxoxo
