For Vincent

March 30, 1853,
was the birthday of Vincent Van Gogh,
a Dutch post-impressionist painter…
but no introduction needed.
And I couldn’t choose a painting to add.
So instead I just picked without thinking!
I can’t think of paintings of his I like less… really!
Oh, and did I mention I love to dive in his paintings and live there?
Maybe Kurosawa [a most dear to me, film director] did too…

Wherever you are, Vincent… thank you!

  1. Wonderful!
How crazy that today, I went through my PVR’d movies and ended upon “Lust For Life”… I started watching it as I scrolled through my emails and fell upon this. Nuts!

  2. Many years ago (1993 or 4?) I saw Akira Kurosawa’s film “Dreams”. The person I saw it with hated it, but I thought it was great. I only remember bits and pieces of the film, but I do remember the Vincent van Gogh part. Vincent was great! I love his works.
