a species of flowering plant in the family Crassulaceae.
Echeveria elegans is a succulent evergreen perennial growing to 5–10 cm (2–4 in) tall by 50 cm (20 in) wide, with tight rosettes of pale green-blue fleshy leaves, bearing 25 cm (10 in) long slender pink stalks of pink flowers with yellow tips in winter and spring. [wikipedia]

Oh how absolutely lovely! I was gifted a dozen mini succulents for Mother’s Day, and I’ve begun trying to identify them all. One of them is similar to yours, but not as pink. Hmmm…I wonder. So much fun to nurture living things…and photograph them to share! Sweet!!!
I thought it was sweet too! It’s not actually very pink [the leaves], they’re this bluish green and only slightly on the edges a little pink. If you look at an image google search [https://www.google.com/search?q=echeveria+elegans&newwindow=1&safe=active&client=firefox-b-d&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwjim7_qi7TpAhUConEKHeeAA0IQ_AUoAXoECB8QAw&biw=1468&bih=863] you’ll see some are not at all pink and the flowers vary. To be honest I’ve only recently started appreciating succulents and cacti. Mom has always loved them, so she has quite a collection. I couldn’t believe how beautiful this plant/flower was. I didn’t know the name… I was searching succulents and found it, so maybe this way you’ll identify yours.

The Echeveria Elegans is beautiful and the photography is fantastic. That’s a nice weird David Byrne video, which is one of the many things I like about David Byrne. Did you see his movie “True Stories”? It’s a classic. I ran into David Byrne at an Irakere concert when we lived in Madrid, Spain.

I haven’t seen him perform live, but I did meet him briefly at the Irakere (Cuban band) concert. I went to the bar to get water, and David Byrne was sitting at the bar. I said ‘Hi are you doing a concert in Madrid?” He said no that he was just passing through. Check out “True Stories”. It’s a really fun movie with great music.
