Η σύνθεση της Joni Mitchell ηχογραφήθηκε πρώτα από την Buffy Sainte-Marie για το άλμπουμ της Fire & Fleet & Candlelight [1967].
Ήταν η βερσιόν που θα γινόταν [ακόμα πιο] διάσημη χάρη στο soundtrack της ταινίας The Strawberry Statement του 1970 [ελλ. τίτλος: Φράουλες και Αίμα], ενώ την ίδια χρονιά θα κυκλοφορούσε εκείνη της δημιουργού στο άλμπουμ Ladies Of The Canyon.
Η “εμβληματική” εκτέλεση της BSM εμφανίστηκε ξανά πέρυσι, στο soundtrack της απολαυστικής ταινίας του Quentin Tarantino, Once Upon A Time In Hollywood.

Joni Mitchell‘s song was first recorded by Buffy Sainte-Marie on her album Fire & Fleet & Candlelight [1967].
It was the version that would become [even more] famous thanks to the soundtrack of the 1970 film The Strawberry Statement. In the same year, the songwriter’s interpretation would be released on the album Ladies Of The Canyon.
BSM’s “iconic” performance reappeared last year, on the soundtrack of Quentin Tarantino’s delightful film, Once Upon a Time In Hollywood.
