just a Sepia* morning

*Sepia is a reddish-brown color, named after the rich brown pigment derived from the ink sac of the common cuttlefish Sepia. The word sepia is the Latinized form of the Greek σηπία, sēpía, cuttlefish.

  1. Wow! Crazy sky. What caused it to happen?
We had a crazy sky like that a few years ago, but it was just after dawn, and I slept through it. I saw it on the news later.
Fab shots Marina, and the perfect music to go with it!

    • Warm not war! Perfect!!! Warm and enveloping is a beautiful way of describing it. It wasn’t actually warm that day, slightly chilly. Odd morning! Thank you, my dearest Mary Jo! 🤗❤

  2. That was a wonderful ode to the cuttlefish by Hiromi. It looks like the sky painter made it to your neck of the woods and splashed about some sepia to give you a beautiful awakening. I used to use sepia and selenium and coffee and all kinds of interesting elements to tone prints back in the day.

    • Oh… me too!!! Back at college. I loved sepia tinted photographs.
Sky painter has decided to grace us too with his presence! At last winter is here and painter favors this season! 😉
      Thanks, my friend. 🙏
