Welcome to Canada! I’m tempted to take some snow shots when I’m out in the car, esp at night. But they won’t let us do that while the vehicle is operating, which makes it impossible. Unless I park and shutdown but I find once I get going I don’t like to stop. I saw on news just now that you are advised to not go outside! Must be strange for you guys… 😇
Yes, we were also advised not to go out, but kids and dogwalkers were out all day! 😉
Not very strange though. We get snow every year, just not that much. It’s been 3-4 years since the last big snowfall that covered the city.
Indeed, driving and taking pics is not a wise idea. I did it in the rain as I loved the melting reflections of the lights on the windshield.

Yes. although I was on res backstreets in the middle of the night… with no traffic. Still, rules is rules so I am a good boy. If I stopped I’d probably get stuck in a snowbank!

I like snow, eventhough I can’t help thinking about anyone [including trees & plants] who is out there in the cold.
Don’t forget most trees and plants are made for it… perennials, that is. But I understand. I had a plant behind a curtain against the window and felt guilty so opened the curtain. A little colder in the house but much nicer for the plant! 🙂
I’ve lost many plants to frost throughout the years. I hope they’ll survive this one! 😉
Also we had many trees snap from the weight of the snow. They’re not used to so much snow.
Right… I guess you are somewhat in the middle , meteorologically speaking. I find it so interesting how different plants appear in different climates. I put some out a bit too early last spring and they were severely blighted. This guy in the window was one of them. But he came back last summer! So I need to be good to him now. He deserves it. 🙂

Yes I felt so stupid for leaving him out. I’d seen the weather forcast but remembered almost too late. It just spent a few hours near or at ZERO and that was enough to yellow his leaves, almost finish him off. 🌿
At least he’s now safe!
I had to rush quite a few plants in our livingroom, but as the balconies are full of plants, we’d have to move out to get all of them inside [and still they wouldn’t fit!] So I had the cruel task of choosing the most sensitive and …small ones.
I know it’s a horrible decision to say “you’re not doing so well, you’re staying out this fall…” I have a real scraggly plant inside which doesn’t add much to the decor but it’s life…

The snow is pretty. I’m sure Hera had a great time! I know our dogs love snow. I’m not sure where you are in Greece, but I think of it as a hot and dry country, though I also know it is mountainous. Do you get snow very often?
Within a few minutes of writing this, I was on AP web site and read an article with the title “In Athens, rare snow blankets Acropolis, halts vaccinations”. Maybe it answered my question 😉

I live in Athens [northern parts] and we get snow every year but it’s only every few years we get such an amount of snow [about 40-50cm], which is quite a lot in a city. We get all seasons …still. However our cold is supposed to be colder than other parts because it’s very dry. -2C at the moment. Hera loves it! 😉

We’re currently about 16 inches. Hera has to walk like a kangaroo! We are literally snowbound… a more logical reason to stay indoors! 😉
