I conclude my little personal tribute to female musical personalities with Marina Kanavaki setting music on a poem by Elias Petropoulos. From her album Never And Nothing, in its second release by Nefeli editions, post-produced by yours truly.

◼︎

I sleep deeply and dream
and I see me in a coffin.
It seems, I was killed by a car
so someone else has the criminal liability.
I wake up agitated
and open the Oneiromancer
which interprets my nightmare
as imminent success in love.

Enjoy!

and

Stay Safe!

As always, I’m happy to hear your thoughts, however I’d highly recommend a direct dialogue with the …’source’ so please visit Oannes’ page where you can also listen to the song !

* For my friends who didn’t know, or first timers here, Oannes [aka Socratis Papahatzis] is my husband, partner in life and music and the one with my undying admiration. Together we have a band MK-O [the music of Marina Kanavaki & Oannes]. So, it’s my pleasure to share with you his [and sometimes mine] musical selections. Do visit his site. He has my highest recommendation!

  1. The photograph of you and the haunting music whoa really stirred me. I was just thinking today the MUSIC that shall come forth after this nightmare this entire world has been through will touch every emotion we possess. We shall cry, shout, dance, fall to our knees, sing! I know what this nightmare is doing to my photography ….. the depth I am reaching is bringing forth beauty I did not know I possess. LOVE your music!!!!

  2. A prescient dream with a better interpretation than the state of the nightmare. Wonderful song. I really like the photo.

  3. After listening to this haunting track, I understand why the album was called “Never And Nothing.” Because I Never heard anything so beautiful, and Nothing could possibly top it!! Just to be sure, I ran this theory through the Oneiromancer, and it said, “That’s exactly right, you are clearly a very perceptive fellow!!” (Sounds like the Oneiromancer is very perceptive, too!!)

    Absolutely stunning, my dear Marina– the song, music, AND your photograph. Kind of a predatory look there– must have been taken in front of the ambrosia display case at the Mt. Olympus Supermarket… 🚀 🌖 💥 🚑 👽 👽 👽 👽 👽 👽 👽 👽 👽 👽 👽 👽 👽 👽 👽 👽 👽 👽 👽 👽 👽 👽 👽 👽 🍨 🍨 🍨 🍨 🍨 🍨 🍨 🍨 🍨 🍨 🍨 🍨 🍨 🍨 🍨 🍨 🍨 🍨 🍨 🍨 🍨 🍨 🍨 🍨 🍨 🍨 🍨 😋 😊 😘

    • I wonder how the Oneiromancer would interpret my sudden liftoff to another galaxy… but wait, I am not dreaming, I am travelling in another galaxy, the galaxy of kindness and my dear Mark Armstrong sent me in a magical swooosh!!!! As for the predator look it probably was “who’s detaining me from my baklava errr ambrosia?!!! Mr photographer, get on with it, will you?!” 🤣🤣🤣🤣
