I was surprised to find out that this painting is in Houston’s Museum of Fine Arts, which is less than a three-hour drive from our home in Austin. Now that we’ve gotten vaccinated and the pandemic is easing up, it may soon be time for a return visit to that museum.
Stunning. I used to love to look at the galaxy with the naked eye. Not sure it’s visible in the light-polluted ‘sin bin’ called Toronto. I’m lucky to see a handful of stars at night when I take out the trash! Really have to stretch the imagination to get that nature feeling… but it’s not impossible. 🙂
Ah yes…
I remember the (few) times that I was able to see the galaxy so vividly and just a couple, by the sea, that I could reach out with my hands and grab a star! No, it’s not impossible.
“When you wish upon a star… don’t forget… that’s the way things are…” (original lyric from an old song of mine…). Gosh… will I ever get them recorded right? I hate to think of them falling into oblvion when I die…
Yeah, we can probably keep working on stuff in the next life… I think the reason I like electronic composing is because you don’t have to play an instrument to get the melody out… you just write it on the midi grid. So in the next life, we probably just write with our thoughts..? 🙄🤷🤷♀️❓❓
Ah, yes, midi… by our next lives the code will have been obliterated I suspect! As for thoughts… aren’t we already doing it? Well, just one person in the audience (ourselves), but hey, we’re a wonderful audience! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Ha Ha… I’m not sold on reincarnation but you’re right about the code changing… there already is a new format – for importing/exporting scores that I tried … can’t remember what it’s called ‘xml’ something or other… and pssss. don’t tell anyone but I think the dead might actually come by to help me… an unproven idea! 😇🎶🙂 Can u dig it? 😁😁🌠

Sounds like a great idea and well worth it!
