That first one is not at all how I think of Kandinsky.
Was part of him though. 😉
Yes. Mondrian was another painter whose early work is a lot more traditional than what he later became known for.
Oh, yes, like many others too!
Thank you for sharing his art! He is one of my favorites 😊
Thank YOU for the visit and …likewise! 😉
You’re very welcome 😊
🙏😊
Hauntingly beautiful. Reminds me of listening to Peter and the Wolf as a child and marveling at the album cover! 😄
I remember that cover! It was actually one of the first records I’d play on my dad’s sound system without him knowing! (I was 5!)🤣🤣🤣
There’s something magical about this painting.
The image reminds me a bit of the movie Medieval… even tho’ it’s Czech. A beautiful woman in distress. You and yours might czech it out (ha ha) if you haven’t already. 🙂🙂🙂
Hmm, probably have to check that one out! 😉
Well, to be honest, I’d say it’s just a good but not great movie. But the prod values were impressive given the size of the country. And a performance by Michael Caine was interesting… 😊
p.s. those sweet childhood memories of listening by the record player… 😇😇😇
Oh, yes!! 😇😌
Second time around for your beautiful post Marina. Kandinsky celebrates the colours of life. This was especially meaningful to me as I just finished reading Leo Tolstoy’s “War and Peace.”
I’ve always been drawn to Russian art (especially music). He truly “celebrates the colours of life”!
Serendipity! 😉
❤️
A unique artist. It was fab. to have another look!

Oh, indeed we must!
Thank YOU, my dear Laura.
I do love Kandinsky’s work, in particular his notion of color as music.
Yes, I liked that too! 😉
🙂

You too, my friend! 🙏🏻🔆✨
I recall you introduced me to Kandinsky … and I recall seeing some of his works at the Pompidou Center in Paris. Yamas!
I remember and I’m so glad I introduced him to you. Yamas!
