The year’s closing brushstroke
Bears a heavy load
A blessing for a canvas reborn
In the embrace of December’s hues.

  3. Dear Marina, I’m so happy to see your December Tree! I adore the “heathery” palette that you have used. The colors remind me fondly of heather-hued sweaters and skirts that were popular when I was at University. And thus tree is opening doors to contemplate what us below in the sense of “As above, so below.” Wishing you the best December ever!

  4. oh Marina, a good December wish. I’m rather fond of what this is and what this suggests (second part is my favorite part). Keyed fast onto that brown enlargment with arms like Sprite Lightning reaching up. Took me a minute to locate it in the original. A slight but happy puzzle. Left wondering was that intentional, meaning attached, or simply the paint doing what paint likes to do all by itself when left to play. Good December you too. neil

    • Ah, thank you so much, Neil!
I often wonder myself, how intentional is it?
Soon after that question comes the certainty of how uncontrollable everything about us is! 😉 Imagine creativity!
So happy you enjoyed the piece and its journey. 🙏
