Πίσω στον καλλιτέχνη του μήνα. Ένα από τα σημαντικότερα έργα του – νιόπαντρου τη στιγμή της σύνθεσης, και νεοφερμένου στη Βιέννη – Wolfgang Amadé, ήταν η Μεγάλη Λειτουργία σε Ντο Ελάσσονα, K 427. Ακούμε από αυτήν το ‘Et incarnatus est’ – ερμηνεύει η σοπράνο Sylvia McNair. Την χορωδία Μonteverdi και τους English Baroque Soloists διευθύνει ο John Eliot Gardiner.
Πρώτη ερμηνεύτρια του συγκεκριμένου θέματος, στην πρεμιέρα του στο Αββαείο του Αγ. Πέτρου του Salzburg [26/10/1783] ήταν η Constanze, ευτυχής σύζυγος Mozart.

Back to the artist of the month. One of the most important works by Wolfgang Amadé, – a newlywed at the time of this composition, and a newcomer to Vienna – was the Great Mass in C minor, K 427. From this we hear ‘Et incarnatus est’ – performed by soprano Sylvia McNair. The Monteverdi Choir and the English Baroque Soloists are conducted by John Eliot Gardiner.
First performer of this theme, on its premiere at St. Peter’ s Abbey, Salzburg [26/10/1783] was Mozart’s happy wife, Constanze.
