Το 1978, χρονιά της διάλυσης του σημαντικού ολλανδικού progressive γκρουπ των Focus, ο Jan Akkerman, (κιθαρίστας και κινητήρια δύναμή τους μαζί τον οργανίστα – φλαουτίστα Thijs Van Leer) κυκλοφορεί το άλμπουμ Aranjuez. Μαζί του εδώ ο ενορχηστρωτής – διευθυντής ορχήστρας Claus Ogerman, εκ των κυρίων εκπροσώπων του Third Stream (υβριδικού είδους – μείγματος κλασικής και jazz), με συνεργασίες που περιλαμβάνουν μουσικούς από τον Michael Brecker μέχρι τον Wes Montgomery και από τον Bill Evans μέχρι τον Danillo Perez.
Ακούμε τη δική τους διασκευή της Españoleta, σύνθεσης του Gaspar Sanz (17ος αι.). Ακολουθεί (στο 5:07) η original βερσιόν από τον κιθαρίστα Caledonio Romero.

In 1978, the year of the breakup of the significant Dutch progressive group Focus, Jan Akkerman (the band’s guitarist and driving force alongside organist-flautist Thijs van Leer) releases the album Aranjuez. With him here is arranger-orchestra conductor Claus Ogerman, one of the main representatives of Third Stream (a hybrid genre blending classical and jazz), with collaborations spanning musicians from Michael Brecker to Wes Montgomery, and from Bill Evans to Danilo Pérez.
We hear their arrangement of Españoleta, a composition by Gaspar Sanz (17th century). Following (at 5:07) is the original version performed by guitarist Celedonio Romero.
