Γεννημένη το 1982, έχει βραβευτεί μέχρι στιγμής 2 φορές για συνθέσεις της : Pulitzer Prize for music [Partita For 8 Voices], Grammy Award For Best Contemporary Classical Composition [‘Narrow Sea’]. Το σημαντικότερο, και ασυνήθιστο : έχει βραβευτεί δικαίως.
Ένα δείγμα του ταλέντου της παίρνουμε απ’ αυτό το κομμάτι. Προέρχεται από το πρώτο, φερώνυμο άλμπουμ του φωνητικού σχήματος Roomful Of Teeth, του οποίου μέλος είναι και η ίδια.

One particularly interesting voice in the field of contemporary music is the American Caroline Shaw. Born in 1982, she ‘s been twice awarded for her works : Pulitzer Prize for music [Partita For 8 Voices], Grammy Award For Best Contemporary Classical Composition [‘Narrow Sea’]. Most importantly, and unusual of all, she’s been awarded fairly.
A token of her talent is this piece. It comes from the eponymous debut album of vocal group Roomful Of Teeth, a member of which is herself.
