Fading Away…

As the week is fading
here’s a fading view of the city
behind a fading, rusty wire…

while listening to:

Dmitri Shostakovich

Symphonie Nr. 9: 2. Moderato
Royal Philharmonic Orchestra · conductor: Vladimir Ashkenazy

A beautiful weekend everyone!

  1. Uh-oh! I leaned in too close, and snagged my sweater on the wire. I tore a hole in it getting free– but that’s good. There was a bad ambrosia stain in that spot, and now I won’t have to send the sweater to the cleaners. I love happy endings, don’t you? 👍😊

    • Awwww….. please please please, I am not a photographer and these were taken (I’m ashamed to say) with my phone camera! On my doggy walks it’s hard carrying a camera… I just take these as reminders of pictures I see. Thank you so much for the reblog and most flattering compliments! 🙏🙂

    • Oh, at last!!!!! I can imagine your [double] joy leaving the taxes and maybe photographing some interesting murals I seem to recall you found round there! 😉
Thank you for the compliment! I just fell in love with that rusty wire and all that was ‘happening’ around it! 😉

      • Yes, I’m excited about the new murals. They happen to be by my accountant’s. One good thing!
I did sneak in a PBH post on Art Gowns, but it’s taking me time answering the comments. I’ll be able to catch up lots after tomorrow.
That rusty wire is very neat, just don’t get cut on it! WOOF to Hera!

  3. The symbolism in these photos was brilliant. We see the world, but many times behind barriers that are placed in front of us. And yet, we prevail and overcome. We are resilient. We see the beauty in the horizon and move beyond what tries to hold us back.

  4. Very effective, Marina. I like pics like this, and you do it superbly. Now, how about you jump the wire and get right down into the city with your cam? I want to see the real Athens! 😎😁🤓I’m sick of all this touristy stuff on YouTube…😁😄😆
