I see this so often
it puzzles me
that I hadn’t noticed
What a spot they picked
and how beautifully
this rusty barrel
They blend so well
that they decided
to grow rust themselves…
And all this

Wow How very poetic
I love the pictures
Stay well and laugh when you can
Thank you very much for your lovely words!
Will do! Elementary [the smiling part!]
You do too! 🙂
The flowers are beautiful
Ah, thank you! Nature is an amazing artist!
The coloration reminds me of an ancient Greek vase!
It does, you’re so right!!!!!
These lovely little buds really pop in front of the rust. Wonderful. Simplicity gives the sweetest images.
Love me some Chick Corea!
It does too, doesn’t it?! I couldn’t believe how beautiful they looked!
Yes! Me too!!!!!!!!
Loved the music!!!!
An amazing man’s birthday that day, so his music felt apt in many ways!
Well, the wilted rose was RUST coloured in the Emojis catalogue.
Beautiful shots. You find the most interesting things to take pics of. Your Earth Nerve Network woks in mysterious ways!
Mysterious ways indeed! You should see what I posted today!!!! 🤣😂😉
Beautiful, rusty flowers, Marina. I can see them swaying in a summer breeze. 🙂 And lovely music, as well. 💗💗💗
Thank you, Lauren… yes! I can see that too!
It was such a strange coexistence and oddly harmonic too! Happy Monday! xoxoxoxoxoxo
Absolutely stunning, your subject, composition, light, everything! This is one of my new favorites 🙂 It feels like autumn but also summery. xoxoxo
You’re right, it does look both summery and autumn. I’m so happy you enjoyed it! Wishing you a beautiful week ahead! 🙂 xoxo
Your rusty flowers are very cool…nicely done. I know Chick Corea but never heard Crystal Silence, at least not that I remember. That was very pleasant, thank you! 🙂
Ah, thank you for your visit and kind words. Have a lovely week ahead! 🙂
Aha! More rust 🤍
Yep… great minds huh?! 😉
Thank you, my dear Sue! 🙂 xo
Flowers grace our lives and give joy to the days that we have been given. Lovely post, Marina. Thank you.
Yes they do indeed, thank YOU, my dear Rebecca! Wishing you a wonderful weekend. Sending you hugs and smiles! xoxo
Wonderful photos, Marina. The framing of the flowers against the geometry of the rusty barrel is perfect. It’s been a long time since I’ve listened to Chick Corea. I was really into Return to Forever when I was a teenager in the mid 1970’s. I think my daughter has all my Chick Corea, Al di Meola, Stanly Clarke and Jean-Luc Ponty albums.
Well, at least they’re in good hands!!!!! 😉 Good music should be shared! 😉
Thank you, my friend. I see this barrel every time I visit that hill and have photographed the rust previously [haven’t posted it yet], but this time I was literally grabbed by those odd looking flowers against the rust. So glad you liked them! 🙂
I have those moments when the same subject has something new.
Nice surprises huh?! 😉
So Was I – my boyfriend in high school introduced me to Return to Forever and get this… summer of 2015 a bunch of us (12) reunited to go see Al Di Meola at the Montreal Jazz Fest – a lot of us saw each other at school reunions and other get-togethers but this one was really special.
I’ll bet you that was fun. This Di Meola play some of his Tangos? He was getting into Tango at one point.
It was. And yes, he did 🙂
How cool. I’m envious.
It was a great show with friends I’ve known for forty years. Just that was a crazy thing
I just opened Facebook and I kid you not Al Di Meola is live!! He is drinking an Aperol Spritz, making his Cavatelli Di Meola while listening to Pavarotti’s version of Nessun Dorma…
How funny is that?
How cool is that? I don’t have Facebook.
He was so bad! LOL But had an all Pavarotti arias playing
I have to go check that!!!!!!!!!
He’s a wreck in the kitchen but was fun to watch
I’ll bet! 😉
Oh, very very special indeed! How lucky!!!!!!!!!!
