I see this so often
it puzzles me
that I hadn’t noticed
those flowers

What a spot they picked
and how beautifully
standing

blending in
this rusty barrel

They blend so well
that they decided
to grow rust themselves…

And all this
they do
in silence

These lovely little buds really pop in front of the rust. Wonderful. Simplicity gives the sweetest images.
Love me some Chick Corea!

Absolutely stunning, your subject, composition, light, everything! This is one of my new favorites 🙂 It feels like autumn but also summery. xoxoxo

Your rusty flowers are very cool…nicely done. I know Chick Corea but never heard Crystal Silence, at least not that I remember. That was very pleasant, thank you! 🙂

Wonderful photos, Marina. The framing of the flowers against the geometry of the rusty barrel is perfect. It’s been a long time since I’ve listened to Chick Corea. I was really into Return to Forever when I was a teenager in the mid 1970’s. I think my daughter has all my Chick Corea, Al di Meola, Stanly Clarke and Jean-Luc Ponty albums.

Well, at least they’re in good hands!!!!! 😉 Good music should be shared! 😉
Thank you, my friend. I see this barrel every time I visit that hill and have photographed the rust previously [haven’t posted it yet], but this time I was literally grabbed by those odd looking flowers against the rust. So glad you liked them! 🙂

So Was I – my boyfriend in high school introduced me to Return to Forever and get this… summer of 2015 a bunch of us (12) reunited to go see Al Di Meola at the Montreal Jazz Fest – a lot of us saw each other at school reunions and other get-togethers but this one was really special.

I’ll bet you that was fun. This Di Meola play some of his Tangos? He was getting into Tango at one point.

I just opened Facebook and I kid you not Al Di Meola is live!! He is drinking an Aperol Spritz, making his Cavatelli Di Meola while listening to Pavarotti’s version of Nessun Dorma…
How funny is that?
