A few days ago
we had a refreshing
rainy break.
🌈
Looking outside my window,
I noticed something strange between the buildings.
The space between a building and a chimney
was oddly colored.
I realized it was a rainbow✻
but I caught it at its birth
and very low.
Not spectacular
but very interesting
to watch it climbing up
faintly coloring the city
and fade away
🌈

🌈
It reminded me of a watercolor I did sometime ago:

A little Chakra Tree II
Watercolor painting © Marina Kanavaki
The spectrum colors [red, orange , yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet] are also the colors of the seven Chakras.

🌈
Happy Hump Day!
…and a colorful one too
🌈
✻ A rainbow is a meteorological phenomenon that is caused by reflection, refraction and dispersion of light in water droplets resulting in a spectrum of light appearing in the sky. It takes the form of a multicoloured circular arc. Rainbows caused by sunlight always appear in the section of sky directly opposite the sun. How neat, dear Marina!
The birth of a rainbow sounds like a song or book title. It is faint, but I do see it!
A little Chakra Tree II could also be called A Little Rainbow Tree. It’s a very beautiful painting.
Whatever you did to the opening photo is fantastic!
Sending love and hugs! xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxooo
Awwww… thank you, my sweet friend! So happy you like these!
Top picture was a combination of my spectrun with the city inage.
It was so faint I could have easily missed it!
Hugs your way!!!! 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🙃

Love your watercolour painting of the chakra tree, Marina! x
Aw, thank you, my friend! 🙏😊🙏🤗
That’s quite a difference in intensity between the faint rainbow you photographed and your panoramic watercolors with such saturated hues. Did you consider enhancing the colors in the photograph to make the rainbow stand out a little more?
What if I told you that I have already slightly enhanced it so that it’s closer to what I saw… oh, well! 🙄
What we see, and even more what we imagine, often differs from what the camera records. That’s where artistic license comes in.
Ah, yes! 😉
This is one of my favorite paintings Marina! The photos are gorgeous too. Have a lovely day, Bravo on this painting, gorgeous!!!xoxoxoxox
Ah….. sooooo happy you liked it, my sweet friend!!!! You too have a beautiful day! Hugs and love and 😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘

😊😘😍🥰😊🥰😍😘😊
What an artist you are!
Awwwww…. what a compliment coming from you! 🙏🙂
But it’s true.
☺😊😊😊😊
How amazing to see a rainbow forming, with the landscape as its backdrop rather than sky. Of course the sky kisses the ground everywhere, just like water droplets. They surround us!
A true poet’s words! They do surround us and sometines amaze us. Thank you, my dearest Mary Jo! Many hugs and wishes for a beautiful Thursday. 😘🤗
your watercolour blends as beautifully as the lines in the rainbow – well-spotted Marina – the artist has such a keen eye for the visuals!
Aww… thank you, my dear Laura! I notice things even when I’m cleaning house! 🤣😉 So happy you liked my watercolor too! Many hugs 🤗😘
Real magic. How wonderful you witnessed it! (Love the energy of the watercolor)
Thank you so much. I was in the creative process of cleaning (!) when I noticed it. 🤣😉
All wonderful. The city offers all kinds of neat abstractions.
Ah, thank you, my friend. Yes, it does and you know that well! 😉
Loved it!
Great colors! It’s a nice effect! 😀
