The German jazz piano trio music has its foundations in atmospheric pop. Synthetic ideas usually concern simple, recyclable themes – chord sequences.
We hear the charmingly melancholic “Emptiness” that introduces their 2017 album Music Box Music. In addition to the leader – composer Walter Lang‘s piano, the impressions are won by the simulation of the electronic drum’n’bass beat by Gerwin Eisenhauer, drums and Peter Cudek, bass.
