Στο μουσικό κόσμο του Manuel De Falla, ο γαλλικός ιμπρεσιονισμός [Debussy, Ravel] συναντάει την ανδαλουσιανή παράδοση, δίνοντας ένα έργο που, αν και σχετικά μικρό, τον κατατάσσει στους σημαντικότερους Ισπανούς συνθέτες του 20ου αιώνα. Σήμερα ακούμε ένα απόσπασμα από τη σύνθεσή του για πιάνο και μικρή ορχήστρα, Noches en los jardines de España [Νύχτες στους Κήπους της Ισπανίας] : Danza Lejana. Ο Steven Osbourne [πιάνο] συμπράττει με την BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra υπό τον Ludovic Morlot.

In Manuel De Falla’s musical world, French impressionism [Debussy, Ravel] meets the Andalusian tradition, providing a work which, though relatively small, ranks him among the most important Spanish composers of the 20th century. Today we hear an excerpt from his composition for piano and small orchestra, Noches en los jardines de España [Nights in the Gardens of Spain]: Danza Lejana. Steven Osborne [piano] joins the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Ludovic Morlot.
