Capricorn the steadfast trailblazer

[December 22 – January 20]

Today is the first day of Capricorn, the tenth sign of the Zodiac.

Capricorn is a Cardinal Earth sign ruled by Saturn.

Resilient and disciplined achievers, Capricorns have a strong sense of responsibility, practicality, and loyalty, making them reliable and successful individuals in various aspects of life.

Starting from the last [12th] sign, I’ll be posting these original illustrations, Anakreon Kanavakis created for a calendar. [check it out here]

  8. I hope all is well, my one true web friend! I sort of half-expected you’d be posting about the solstice. I hope you’re just caught up in the Christmas rush and nothing too serious is keeping you from your usual blogging activities. For me, some days I’m just too ‘occupied’ to blog. I wish I had a hubby err wife I could reblog! Ha ha. Merry Christmas! 😇✨⭐🌟

    • Ah…. I sort of expected me to notice the Solstice too but… this year has fast forwarded so much, I can’t believe tomorrow is Christmas Eve! Seems like yesterday was last Christmas! 🤪🙄 We’re all well, just started building our own house [finally] and time flies even faster!
      Thankfully hubs is fulltime blogging so I can take advantage of him! 🤣 How are you?

      • We’re alright, thanks. Just got all the shopping done and can relax and enjoy our Christmas lights. That’s great news you’re building a home! I think I remember your mentioning that some time ago… your dream to live somewhere off the beaten track. If a wayfarer with a begging bowl happens to grace your door, pls down turn him away. It might be me with the rate of inflation here! 😀 It’s scary the number of homeless in this city. Even since I’ve known you, taxes gave gone through the roof and food prices are unreal. So I’m just counting my blessings and trying to enjoy the season. Merry Christmas to you and your family! 🌟⭐✨😇🎅🎄

          • That’s one TV show I missed in this culturally impoverished continent! My New Year’s Res is going to be making do with less. No more fancy coffee sweeteners… milk and sugar instead.   9. Oh, Marina! I’m loving your dad’s sense of humour in this drawing.
    Capricorn, Cardinal Earth sign, depicted as a mericorn (for lack of a better word).

    It makes me think of Tom, a very close boyfriend of mine for 2 years (RIP) who was a Capricorn.
    He was a sculptor. Loved big pieces of stone. Loved to get his hands in clay. What could be more earthy, in a sense?
    Still, he would jump in the waters of life with anyone.
    Often, he wound wind up in hot water.
    I broke his heart. I feel bad about that, but not guilty.

    I’ll reblog this in a week or so, as I have just done my holiday post, and want to catch up on blogging.
