from Oannes *

Ένα ακόμα έργο του [20χρονου εδώ] W.A. Mozart, η θαυμαστή Σερενάτα Νο 6 σε Ρε, K 239, γραμμένη στο Salzburg, 5 χρόνια πριν απ’ την “επανάσταση” του συνθέτη, τη διάρρηξη των σχέσεων με τον Αρχιεπίσκοπο – εργοδότη του [τον “Μουφτή” όπως τον αποκαλούσε] και τη φυγή στη Βιέννη.
Έργα όπως αυτό συνθέτονταν κατά παραγγελία πλούσιων χρηματοδοτών, για κοινωνικές εκδηλώσεις, ένα είδος party music της εποχής. Ο παραγγελιοδότης του συγκεκριμένου έργου αγνοείται, αλλά είναι το τελευταίο που ενδιαφέρει.
Ακούμε δυο απ’ τα μέρη : Marcia Maestoso [00:00] και Rondeau [04:44]. Ο Colin Davis διευθύνει την Ορχήστρα της Βαυαρικής Ραδιοφωνίας.

Another work by the [now 20-year-old] W.A. Mozart, the glorious Serenade No 6 In D, K 239, written in Salzburg, 5 years before the composer’s “revolution”, the break-up of relations with the Archbishop – his employer [the “Mufti” as he called him] and the flight to Vienna.
Works like this one were composed by wealthy financiers for social occasions, a kind of party music of the time. The commissioner of this project is missing, but it is the last of interest.
We hear two of the parts : Marcia Maestoso [00:00] and Rondeau [04:44]. Colin Davis conducts the Bavarian Radio Orchestra.
