Ένας ακόμη μέγας “αγνοημένος” του 20ου αιώνα, ο Ιταλός Ferruccio Busoni (1866-1924), διάσημος πιανίστας της εποχής του, τεράστιου βεληνεκούς συνθέτης και μέγας δάσκαλος – των Kurt Weil και Edgar Varèse μεταξύ άλλων. Μουσικός που στο έργο του σναντώνται η παράδοση που συνέχιζε να τιμά, και οι εξελίξεις της ταραχώδους εποχής του, τις οποίες δεν έπαψε να αφουγκράζεται και να συνδιαμορφώνει.
Αξίζει κανείς να αναζητήσει έργα του όπως το ρομαντικό Κονσέρτο Για Πιάνο ή η όπερα Faust. Για τώρα, ακούμε το κατανυκτικό Berceuse Élégiaque (Ελεγειακό νανούρισμα), σύνθεση αφιερωμένη στη μνήμη της μητέρας του.

Another great “overlooked” of the 20th century, Italian Ferruccio Busoni (1866-1924), famous pianist of his time, magnificent composer and great teacher – of Kurt Weil and Edgar Varèse among others. A musician whose work reflects the tradition he continued to honor, along with the developments of his turbulent era, which he never ceased to listen to and co-shape.
One may search for works such as the romantic Piano Concerto or the opera Faust. For now, we hear the solemn Berceuse Élégiaque (Elegiac Lullaby), composition dedicated to the memory of his mother.
