from Oannes *

Τον Ιούνιο του 1932, ο Προκόφιεφ ηχογράφησε για πρώτη φορά στα περίφημα Abbey Road studios. Ήταν το Τρίτο Κοντσέρτο Για Πιάνο, με τη Συμφωνική Ορχήστρα του Λονδίνου.
H “αυτού υψηλότης”, πρίγκιπας Γεώργιος, πέρασε απ’ το στούντιο στη διάρκεια της ηχογράφησης …για να σπεύσει να εξαφανιστεί “έκπληκτος ίσως από το ελαφρά επιθετικό ύφος της μουσικής”.
Ακούμε το συγκλονιστικό Andante-Allegro, πρώτο μέρος του Κονσέρτου, από τα χέρια του δημιουργού – συνθέτη του μήνα.

In June 1932, Prokofiev recorded for the first time at the famous Abbey Road studios. It was his Third Piano Concerto, with the London Symphony Orchestra.
His “Royal Highness”, Prince George, passed by the studio during the recording session …to quickly disappear “perhaps surprised by the slightly aggressive style of the music”.
We hear the amazing Andante-Allegro, first part of the Concerto, from the hands of the creator – composer of the month.
