Caravaggio was quite a character—some would say a scoundrel. A few years ago we watched a documentary about him.
Well, hard to know really. Hard enough knowing ourselves, let alone someone soooooo many years ago. His painting genius is more than enough for me! 😉
We’ve managed to see several of his paintings in museums, including this one at the Kimbell Art Museum in Fort Worth, 200 miles north of Austin:

You are really fortunate!!!!! 😉
A wonderful tribute to Caravaggio, Marina. I have always appreciated the story behind this painting.
He was an extraordinary painter. So glad you enjoyed this short reminder of his birthday. Many hugs your way!

Caravaggio is wonderful.
The more I see his paintings the harder it gets to fathom the extend of his talent!
