Ο κορυφαίος του γαλλικού μπαρόκ για τον 17ο αιώνα Marc-Antoine Charpentier (1643-1704) υπήρξε δημιουργός μεγάλου αριθμού έργων σε κάθε φόρμα, διακρίθηκε όμως ιδιαίτερα για την εκκλησιαστική του μουσική. Ακούμε δυο αποσπάσματα από τη Λιτανεία Για Την Παρθένο.

Marc-Antoine Charpentier (1643-1704), the leading French baroque composer of the 17th century, composed numerous works in all genres, but he was particularly distinguished for his sacred music. We hear two excerpts from his Litany For The Virgin.
