As the poppies’ radiant flow gently fades, wild tiny flowers—pinks, oranges, yellows, purples, and whites—bloom in quiet harmony, so small they slip past notice. Continuing my journey into their micro world, this is the second [See Part 1 here] of a few posts celebrating their delicate charm.
Here are the next wild tinies…

Which of these tinies calls to you today?
More tinies await in Part 3
Happy Thursday, everyone!

Beautifully done!
The wildflower in the opening photograph reveals its membership in the sunflower family, which is a very large botanical family.
Oh, I didn’t know! I never would’ve thought this pink/magenta dainty tiny flower would be a member of sunflowers!
Many of the flowers in the sunflower family (Asteraceae) don’t look like sunflowers, and especially not like the giant sunflowers that were bred over centuries from the smaller ones that are native in the Americas.
Should you wish to learn more, here’s an article.
Wow! I even found its name: Galactites tomentosus [purple milk thistle]. Thank you for the link!
…I was wrong… it’s not a milk thistle. I have many of these and they are very different! Hmmm…. I’ll continue searching! 😉
From the look of it, I wonder if it’s a species of Centaurea.
Yes! I found it! It’s Crupina crupinastrum (Moris) Vis. of the Asteraceae family!
I see that it used to be classified as Centaurea crupina and Centaurea crupinastrum. There have been a lot of reclassifications in recent years based on DNA analysis. The Texas species that I called Centaurea americana in my very first blog post in 2011 has now become Plectocephalus americanus.
Another wonderful gallery with the sweetest descriptions, my friend. All lovely but I am partial to the blue with a carmine crown and yellow dots and daisies are my second favourite flower.
xoxoxo
They are so sweet those bluies! As for the daisies, yes! Especially tiny chamomile!
Thank you, my dear CNL!
Mouwah! xoxoxoxoxo
Yes indeed. And I thought they were chamomile… you sneaky one, you!
Always, CNL! 💞🌨️🌫️☁️💞

It’s still Thursday!
Well, here it is… barely where you are.
Love all these gorgeous, dainty, tiny flowers. I was noting many as I went walking yesterday. They are so pretty, close to earth and promise of bigger flowers to come.
Thank you, dahling Marina! Love!!!

Thank you so much! They really are so sweet! These ones don’t get any bigger. They remain tiny and most likely unnoticed!

They’re all lovely! I’d pick the superevisor.
Though not as tiny, I’m with you! 😉
Happy Thursday. I continue liking spiky things. The carmine crown leaves are interesting, too. Yamas!
Hi, Frank! You mean the “Blow-Me-Not”?!!! 😉 The carmine crowns are such a color show! Yamas!
Tge keaves of carmine crown capture my attention.
They almost compete with the flower! 😉
Lovely pictures. I would chose the daisy. I love daisies.
Sweet sweet daisy! I had to use her name, in some way! 😉 Thank you so much, Robbie! xo
I love the close-up focus on the tinies! I think I’m going to go with Miss Fuchia as favorite today.
Thank you so much, Liz! Isn’t she pretty?! She’s the one I had a hard time focusing on. So dainty. xo
😃💚
You’re welcome, Marina! Pretty and dainty!
