Ακολουθώντας την (ταχυδρομική) επικαιρότητα, θυμόμαστε τη Σερενάτα “του ταχυδρομικού κόρνου”, έργο που ο Mozart έγραψε σε ηλικία 23 ετών, για την τελετή λήξης του ακαδημαϊκού έτους του Πανεπιστημίου του Σάλτσμπουργκ. Ο τίτλος οφείλεται στη χρήση ως σολιστικού οργάνου σε ένα από τα μέρη της (δεύτερο μενουέτο), του ταπεινού ταχυδρομικού κόρνου, οργάνου που, χάρη στον W.A.M., δοξάστηκε για πρώτη και τελευταία φορά μέσα σε συναυλιακή αίθουσα. Following the (postal) current affairs, we recall the “Posthorn” Serenade, a work that Mozart wrote at the age of 23 for the closing ceremony of the academic year at the University of Salzburg. The title derives from the use, as a solo instrument in one of its movements (the second minuet), of the humble posthorn—an instrument that, thanks to W.A.M., was glorified for the first and last time inside a concert hall.
