Η διασκευή του Johnny Cash δεν υπάρχει σε κανένα στούντιο άλμπουμ του. Ηχογραφήθηκε για τις ανάγκες της συλλογής Red Hot + Cοuntry του 1994, και έχει ακουστεί πολύ λιγότερο απ’ όσο θα έπρεπε, δεδομένου του status των δυο καλλιτεχνών αλλά και του ίδιου του επιπέδου της : είναι μια από τις περιπτώσεις που ο παρουσιαστής αισθάνεται την υποχρέωση να σωπάσει, περιοριζόμενος σε μια απλή προτροπή : “ακούστε”.
Το δεύτερο track (μου το θύμισε ο stcigar) είναι η πρωτόλεια βερσιόν του τραγουδιού από demo του Dylan, κυκλοφορήσαν στη συλλογή – box Biograph του 1985.

The Johnny Cash cover does not appear on any of his studio albums. It was recorded specifically for the 1994 compilation Red Hot + Country. And it has been heard far less than it deserves, given the stature of both artists and the sheer quality of the performance itself: this is one of those cases where the presenter feels obliged to fall silent, limiting themselves to a simple prompt: “listen”.
The second track (reminded to me by stcigar) is the original demo version of the song by Dylan, released in the 1985 box set compilation Biograph.
