Thank you, my dear Sylvia. They are special, aren’t they?! …and the New Moons even if we can’t see them! 😉 [This month’s New Moon just passed… 19th] Hope you’re enjoying a beautiful weekend. 🙂 xxxxxxxxx
Spectacular moon, Marina! My hubby and I backpacked last month when the moon was full, and it was amazing. I’ve missed your paintings! Love and hugs, my friend xo
Do you know it has been so cloudy here the last couple of nights I had totally forgotten it was a full Moon.. Loved the painting Marina and have saved the forecast to view later.. 🙂
Hope all is well with you and where you are.
Sending LOVE and Hugs my friend.. Sue xxx ❤ 💙💛💚
Thank you, my sweet friend! Cloudy is welcome after a hot summer! I’m well and keeping myself extra busy. Too many things are behind schedule. Love to you and many many hugs, Sue and xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Love that moon Marina! I was amazed this morning when I could see the big full moon going down in the west and at the same time the sun rising in the east. How perfect!
This is a powerful full moon for me even though the skies above Vancouver are completely occluded with smoke from hundreds of forest fires in the interior. When I saw your painting it blew me away because I began a painting earlier today with almost the same composition. Your painting also has ‘smoky’ grays like the skies here although your moon is visible and shines as brightly as you my friend.
Yes, I know about the fires… Eventhough fire is my element, and I always found it mesmerizing to watch, after having seen one up close [forest fire], every time I hear about fires I feel great sadness. All this life being scorched… All elements can be fierce [and America is being battered by all 4 right now!] but fire is an incredible destroyer! May they soon go out and skies clear. I’ll be re-visiting soon to enjoy your work. As I usually do, whenever you post your work, I keep it open in a separate window, for days! That way I make sure I get my daily dose of beauty. I update the post adding a photo from the actual Full Moon. That antenna was set perfectly toward it – like me! 😉 Have a great weekend, my friend.
As you know Marina, I am also ‘Fire’, and it has been very present throughout my life in its positive and negative aspects. In the past set fires to create barriers against fire. I fought wild forest fires and I watched, through five, long torrid summers, from a ‘lookout tower’ high in the mountains, for smoke from new fires. In so many other ways fire has been around me and part of me, in all of its aspects.
Your full moon photo is so very gorgeous. I love how the one in the sky becomes the many on earth.
I am humbled by your words about my posts, thank you Marina, thank you for caring…
You are truly talented! Of course I have to say it 😀 Thank you and wishing you a nice weekend too! Thanks for all of your shares on social media too xo
My pleasure Christy! I keep missing your site on the reader though – some bug I had the happiness engineers at WP fix yet it seems to have come back! You too have a lovely weekend, my friend! 🙂 xxxxx
Your beautiful moon lights up the sky, just as you light up Mount Olympus! Darkness and gloom retreat before this radiant orb, and happy, mesmerized viewers (me, for example) gather around it like besotted moths before a flame! Only a painter of great sensitivity and insight could have created this scene. Take a bow, my dear Marina, and let your fans bask in your intoxicating moonbeams!! 🚀🌒🌓🌔🌕🌖🌗🌘💥🚑🍨🍨🍨👽👽👽👽👽👽😊
🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀All I can say is that you’ve sent me to where no man has gone before …warp speed! 😉 🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀 Live long and prosper! 👽👽👽👽 As a reminder your free pass on Mt Olympus has been upgraded to lifelong! 🍨🍨🍨🍨🍨🍨🍨🍨🍨🍨🍨🍨🍨🍨🍨
This particular one wasn’t even near Harvest moon 🙄 but hey, It was painted on the date! However the update I added IS last night’s Full Moon which is not this year’s Harvest Moon. Closest to the Autumnal Equinox is October’s Full Moon [5th]. Thank you, my friend! I hope you’re healing fast and skies clear soon.
Oh wait – it’s the Corn Moon – or that’s what some call the Sept. full moon here.
Beautiful day today – much to nice to stay indoors – but that’s a good thing, yes? Have a great weekend!
Cheers to you for returning to your full moon salutes, 😀 As a matter of fact, I was thinking of your salutes when I was looking at the moon last night.
So beautiful, Marina. Full moons are very special. 🙂 xx

Harvest moon? The monochromatic tones highlight the textures. Of course the moon is such a great accent and focus – in reality and image. Cool!

beautiful imagery Marina! curious how you create that glorious texture at the bottom…
Thank you, my dear Colleen! My original was a photo which I edited …a lot! Bottom part is houses at the base of the mountain I see from our balcony.
Cheers to you for returning to your full moon salutes, 😀 As a matter of fact, I was thinking of your salutes when I was looking at the moon last night.
Ah, I hope you enjoyed the full moon, Frank! [btw you’ve got mail!] 🙂
