Oannes tribute to Tomaso Albinoni

Σαν σήμερα, 8 Ιουνίου 1671 γεννήθηκε στη Βενετία ο συνθέτης του μπαρόκ Tomaso Albinoni. Διάσημος στην εποχή του περισσότερο ως συνθέτης όπερας, είναι σήμερα περισσότερο γνωστός για ένα έργο που, πιθανώς, δεν είναι καν δικό του: ο διακεκριμένος μουσικολόγος του 20ου αιώνα Remo Giazotto [φωτό] δημοσίευσε αρχικά το Adagio σαν άγνωστη παρτιτούρα του Albinoni, για να διεκδικήσει στη συνέχεια την πατρότητα της σύνθεσης.

On this date, 8 June 1671, the baroque composer Tomaso Albinoni was born in Venice. Famous in his time more as an opera composer, he is now best known for a work that is probably …not his own: the distinguished 20th-century musicologist Remo Giazotto [photo] originally published Adagio as an unknown score of Albinoni, to then claim the fatherhood of the composition.
