I’m in love with your equinox piece, you’ve created a tender image that echoes the balance of the seasons so perfectly. Spectacular way to greet the Autumnal Equinox. I share your love of Autumn – for me, it is a time of innovation and fresh thinking. As you know, I love Greek mythology. Recently, I met up with the goddess of sun and morning,
Alectrona (also known as Electryone or Electryo), thought to be the greek goddess of the sun. I understand that she might have also been the goddess of morning or ‘waking from slumber’. Of course, Helios, Titan lord of the sun was her father. It seems that sunshine runs in the family. Anyway, I love waking up to your posts!

The photographs of the sun and clouds and moon and clouds took my fancy. The sun bokeh picture’s glow beneath the sun is unusual; I don’t recall seeing anything like it.
You may be surprised to learn, as I was, that Australia and New Zealand don’t follow astronomy but have arbitrarily declared each season to begin on the first of the relevant month. While those of us in the north began autumn with the solstice on September 22 (which is the subject of your post), people in Australia and New Zealand have been in their spring since September 1.
Ah, thank you, my friend! Well, when you catch the sun just about rising from a mountain, the rays kind of bleach out the tip of the mountain. That’s what you see as a glow beneath.
Now that’s some info I did not know. I mean I knew the south is in their spring but didn’t know about them not following those astronomy dates… hmmm 🤔
