Ο ανυπέρβλητος Mike Bloomfield, σε μια σχετικά άγνωστη ηχογράφηση απ’ τα late ‘70s. Το βάθος του αισθήματος που δίνει η slide κιθάρα στο “When I Need You” του Albert Hammond είναι ένα ακόμα δείγμα της ιδιοφυίας του. Πρόκειται για μεταμόρφωση ενός τραγουδιού σε ύμνο.

The impeccable Mike Bloomfield, on a relatively unknown recording from the late ‘70s. The emotional depth his slide guitar gives to Albert Hammond’s “When I Need You” is another token of his genius. This is the transformation of a song into a hymn.
