Oannes for Chick Corea

Άλλη μια ιδιαίτερη περίπτωση στη μακρά σειρά των ντουέτων του Corea είναι αυτό με την πιανίστα – συνθέτη Hiromi Uehara. Την γνώρισε τυχαία στο Τόκιο όταν εκείνη ήταν 17 χρόνων, και εντυπωσιασμένος την κάλεσε να παίξει μαζί του την επόμενη μέρα. Τους ακούμε εδώ από το live άλμπουμ που ηχογράφησαν στο Blue Note Jazz Club του Tokyo, 11 χρόνια αργότερα. Το [γλυκύτατο] κομμάτι είναι σύνθεση της Hiromi.

Another special case in Corea’s long line of duets is the one with the pianist – composer Hiromi Uehara. He met her by chance in Tokyo when she was 17 years old, and, very impressed, he invited her on stage the next day.
Here they are, on a composition [simple and sweet] by Hiromi, derived from the live album they recorded at the Blue Note Jazz Club in Tokyo, 11 years later.
