Το ανανεωμένο & ραφιναρισμένο ηχητικά 4ο άλμπουμ των Santana δείχνει μια αλλαγή κατεύθυνσης προς περισσότερο prog-fusion φόρμες. Θα συναντούσε την καθιερωμένη “δυσπιστία” των κριτικών, οι οποίοι εκτός των άλλων μίλησαν για εμπορική αυτοκτονία της μπάντας.
Ακούμε δυο κομμάτια απ’ το Caravanserai. To δεύτερο, “All The Love Of The Universe” [04:01] αποτελεί συνεργασία του Santana με τον “μαθητή του” κιθαρίστα Neal Schon [μετέπειτα Journey] που είναι εδώ ο βασικός σολίστας.

Santana’s sonically renewed & refined 4th album shows a change of direction towards more prog-fusion forms. It would meet with the usual “distrust” of critics, who among other things spoke about the band’s commercial suicide.
We hear two pieces from Caravanserai. The second one, “All The Love Of The Universe” [04:01] is a collaboration between Santana and his “student” guitarist Neal Schon [later with Journey] who is the main soloist here.
