Ο μακρινός πρόγονος του Justin Bieber [just kidding] Heinrich Ignaz Franz Von Biber γεννήθηκε στη Βοημία τον Αύγουστο του 1644 και υπήρξε ο κορυφαίος βιολιστής της εποχής του. Οι σονάτες του γι’ αυτό το όργανο, υπερβατικές των συμβάσεων και συναρπαστικά απρόβλεπτες στην εξέλιξή τους, αποτελούν μαρτυρία της αυτοσχεδιαστικής ιδιοφυίας ενός ανθρώπου που κατέπλησσε με αυτήν το κοινό του, όπως και εμάς ως συνθέτης.
Ακούμε το πρώτο μέρος της Σονάτας Νο 5, Variatio/Presto, από το τρίο Romanesca – Andrew Manze [μπαρόκ βιολί], Nigel North [λαούτο και θεόρβη], John Toll [harpsichord & όργανο]

Justin Bieber’s distant ancestor [just kidding] Heinrich Ignaz Franz Von Biber was born in Bohemia in 1644 and was the leading violinist of his time. His sonatas for this instrument, transcendent and fascinatingly unpredictable in their development, are testimony to the improvisational genius of a man who amazed his audience, as well as us as a composer.
We hear the first part of his Sonata No 5, Variatio/Presto, performed by the trio Romanesca – Andrew Manze [baroque violin], Nigel North [lute and theorbe], John Toll [harpsichord & organ]
