Το έργο, εμπνευσμένο από το ομώνυμο ποίημα του W. H. Auden, χαρακτηρίζεται από ανορθόδοξη δομή και ηχητικές επιλογές [πιάνο & ορχήστρα].
Ο Andrew Litton διευθύνει τη Συμφωνική του Bournemouth. Στο πιάνο ο Jeffrey Kahane.

Two excerpts from the majestic Symphony No. 2 “The Age Of Anxiety” by Leonard Bernstein, composer, conductor and one of the most prominent members of the August born musicians club.
The work, inspired by W. H. Auden’s poem by the same name, is characterized by unorthodox structure and instrumentation [piano & orchestra].
Andrew Litton conducts the Bournemouth Symphony. Jeffrey Kahane is on the piano.
