The Orthodox Church of Finland is an autonomous archbishopric of the Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople – its flock numbers 60,000 believers, about 1% of the country’s population.
Arctic Light : Finnish Orthodox Music is a collection of sacred works by little-known Finnish composers – one of them is Peter Mirolybov [1918-2014]. We hear Eksapostilario, first of his Four Hymns for the Dormition of Virgin Mary. Performed by Cappella Romana under the direction of Ivan Moody.

Enjoy!

As always, I’m happy to hear your thoughts, however I’d highly recommend a direct dialogue with the …’source’ [why comments are closed here], so please visit Oannes’ page where you can also listen to the music!
