Μένοντας στις φολκλορικές εξερευνήσεις του συνθέτη του μήνα, Antonín Dvořák, ακούμε τρεις από τους Σλαβικούς Χορούς του [δεύτερο σετ, έργο 72]. Το έργο ήταν εμπνευσμένο από τους Ουγγρικούς χορούς του Johannes Brahms, μέντορα του Dvořák. Σε πείσμα άλλωστε του τίτλου, οι χοροί αναφέρονται περισσότερο στο στιλ εκείνων της πατρίδας του συνθέτη, Βοημίας.
Είναι περισσότερο γνωστοί στην ορχηστρική μεταγραφή τους, εμείς τους ακούμε στην original μορφή για πιάνο ντουέτο [πιάνο με τέσσερα χέρια], από τους Ingrynd Thorson & Julian Thurber.

Sticking to the folkloric explorations of this month’s composer, Antonín Dvořák, we hear three of his Slavonic Dances [second set, op. 72]. The work was inspired by the Hungarian Dances, written by Johannes Brahms, Dvořák’s mentor.
Despite the title, the dances are more influenced by the music of his homeland, Bohemia.
They are best known in their orchestral transcription, we hear them in the original form for piano duet [piano four hands], performed by Ingrynd Thorson & Julian Thurber.
