Οι Pretenders δεν υπήρξαν ποτέ απ’ τα αγαπημένα μου συγκροτήματα. Ίσως γιατί δεν κατάφεραν, στ’ αυτιά μου τουλάχιστον, να κρατήσουν την “υπόσχεση” που άφηνε το πρώτο τους άλμπουμ, απ’ το οποίο το τραγούδι που ακούμε. Προς τιμήν της Chrissie Hynde φυσικά – γεννημένης αυτόν το μήνα πριν από 72 χρόνια.

The Pretenders have never been one of my favorite bands. Maybe because they didn’t manage, to my ears at least, to keep the “promise” they gave with their debut album, from which the song we hear. In honor of Chrissie Hynde, of course, born on this month 72 years ago.
