Another one of this month’s important composers : the Russian Alexander Borodin [1833-1887], chemist by profession, a professor of medicine school, but also …a host of stray animals, the care of which occupied much of his time.
Borodin was gifted with rare musical talent, which earned him a place in history, despite his relatively small creative output [operas, symphonies, songs, chamber music]. We hear the excellent final part of String Quartet No 1, Andante – Allegro Risoluto.

Enjoy!

As always, I’m happy to hear your thoughts, however I’d highly recommend a direct dialogue with the …’source’ [why comments are closed here], so please visit Oannes’ page where you can also listen to the music!
