Ποτέ δεν μου ήταν συμπαθείς οι σπρίντερ των πλήκτρων, οι σολίστ που τρέχουν τη μουσική σε αστρονομικές ταχύτητες, μόνο και μόνο επειδή μπορούν να το κάνουν. Βλ. σε αντίθεση εδώ τον Glenn Gould [πιανίστα που δεν …δυσκολευόταν να παίξει γρήγορα όποτε χρειαζόταν] να ερμηνεύει το Alla Turca του Mozart αργά, σε “ταχύτητα μελέτης”.
Όμως το συγκεκριμένο τελευταίο μέρος της Σονάτας Νο 1 σε Φα ελάσσονα για πιάνο του LVB, απλώς “ζητάει”, την αιλουροειδή ταχύτητα, το σφρίγος και τη μουσικότητα του Igor Levitt για να αναδειχτεί τελείως. Για τα αυτιά μου τουλάχιστον.

I’ve never liked keyboard sprinters, soloists who run music at astronomical speeds, just because they can do it. Watch here, in contrast, Glenn Gould [a pianist who had no …difficulty playing fast whenever needed] performing Mozart’s Alla Turca at low, ”study” speed.
But the last part of LVB’s Piano Sonata No. 1 in F minor, just calls for Igor Levitt’s feline speed, vigor and musicality to reveal itself completely. At least to my ears.
