from Oannes *

Ακούμε ένα ακόμα από τα νεανικά έργα του LBV – η σύνθεση τοποθετείται μεταξύ 1798 και 1800 – και μια ακόμα από τις προσωπικές μου προτιμήσεις, πλην άλλων άλλων για το ορμητικό συναίσθημά του.
Είναι το Κουαρτέτο Εγχόρδων Νο 4 σε Ντο ελάσσονα, απ’ το οποίο διαλέγω το τρίτο και τέταρτο μέρος, Menuetto : Allegretto [00:00] και Allegro [04:42] – όχι ότι τα άλλα δυο υστερούν, το δεύτερο ιδίως. Αποδίδουν οι Kodály Quartet.

We hear another one of LBV’s youthful works – the composition is set between 1798 and 1800 – and another favorite of mine, for its impetuous feeling among other things.
It’s String Quartet No 4, from which I choose the third and fourth parts, Menuetto : Allegretto [00:00] and Allegro [04:42] – not that the other two are inferior, especially the second. It is performed by Kodály Quartet.
