Το Κονσέρτο για Κλαρινέτο σε Λα ελάσσονα ήταν το τελευταίο μεγάλης διάρκειας έργο που ολoκλήρωσε ο Mozart, εβδομάδες πριν απ’ τον αδόκητο, πρόωρο θάνατό του. Το έγραψε έχοντας κατά νου ως σολίστ, ξανά, τον κλαρινετίστα Anton Stadler.
Ακούμε ξεχωριστά το πρώτο και δεύτερο μέρος, Allegro και Adagio. Σολίστ ο Karl Leister. Το Adagio έχει ακουστεί καταχρηστικά, χάρη στις συλλογές “κλασικής για χαλάρωση” που πλημμυρίζουν τα ράφια των δισκοπωλείων από τα ‘90s και εντεύθεν.
Αλλά στην περίπτωση του, ισχύει η φράση [-κλισέ] : πίσω απ’ τα κλισέ κρύβονται μεγάλες αλήθειες.

Clarinet Concerto in A minor was the last great work completed by Mozart, weeks before his unexpected, untimely death. He wrote it having again in mind clarinetist Anton Stadler as soloist.
We listen separately to the first and second parts, Allegro and Adagio. Karl Leister is the soloist. Adagio has been overheard, thanks to the “classical music for relaxation” compilations flooding the record stores since the ’90s.
But in its case, the [cliche -] phrase applies : “behind cliches, great truths are hidden”.
