Πίσω στο tribute, με τον Murray Perahia στη σύνθεση του Felix Mendelssohn, Πρελούδιο και Φούγκα έργο 35/1, εκτυφλωτική από κάθε άποψη …της επιτάχυνσης μη εξαιρουμένης. Mια από τις προσφορές του στον πολιτισμό υπήρξε [όχι η ανακάλυψη όπως πιστεύεται, αλλά] η επαναφορά του έργου του JS Bach στις συναυλιακές αίθουσες.
Ο Mendelssohn, ο πιο “κλασικά” εκπαιδευμένος από όλους τους ρομαντικούς συνθέτες, είχε υμνηθεί σαν μετεμψύχωση του Bach από τον Liszt αυτοπροσώπως.✻
Back to the tribute, with Murray Perahia on Felix Mendelssohn’s composition, Prelude and Fugue op. 35/1, dazzling in every respect …acceleration included. One of his contributions to culture was [not the discovery as is believed, but] the reintroduction of JS Bach’s work to the concert hall.
Mendelssohn, the most “classically” trained among romantic composers, was praised as a reincarnation of Bach by Liszt himself.
