Ο όρος ‘Lockstep’ περιέγραφε αρχικά τον συγχρονισμένο τρόπο βαδίσματος στρατιωτών και στη συνέχεια [19ος αι.] κρατουμένων – στη δεύτερη περίπτωση με τα πόδια δεμένα με αλυσίδες.
Στη σύγχρονη εποχή θα χρησιμοποιηθεί στην τεχνολογία των κομπιούτερ, χαρακτηρίζοντας τη διαδικασία οπου δυο ή περισσότεροι επεξεργαστές ακολουθούν ταυτόχρονα τις ίδιες οδηγίες, προς ελαχιστοποίηση της πιθανότητας λάθους.

Blues For The White Nigger presentation continues – the tracks appear in the same order as on the album released in 2011 by Puzzlemusik.
In the beginning, the term ‘Lockstep’ described the synchronized way soldiers, and then [19th cent.] prisoners walk – in the second case with their legs connected by chains.
In modern times the term will be used in computer technology, characterizing the process where two or more processors execute the same instructions simultaneously, in order to minimize the possibility of error.
